Plastic production will increase by 40% in the next 10 years according to The World Economic Forum. Unless we do something now, oceans will carry more plastic than fish (by weight) by 2050.

As part of Corona’s Plastic Fishing initiative, we partnered with Ogyre in Italy to recycle the plastic caught in their fishnets. Ogyre helps clean the oceans of plastic by partnering with local fishermen, brands and activists. We named the project SALVAMARE to celebrate the Salvamare Law finally being approved by The Senate of the Republic in 2022.

Products - tote bags, swimsuits and shorts - are created from recovered plastic and are available to purchase from Salvamare. In this way anyone can support fishermen and protect the future of our ocean.
